The Team behind the beer
Robert Pruski
Robert is a retired construction project manager who turned his lifelong appreciation for coastal living and good beer into a new adventure. He had been a part-time Padre Islander since 2003 before becoming a full-time resident after his retirement in 2014. In 2007 he earned his boat-captain credentials and later upgraded to a 100-ton master license, building deep roots in the Port Aransas and Laguna Madre communities along the way. By February 2024 the idea of creating a neighborhood craft brewery for Padre Island and Flour Bluff began taking shape, inspired by years of friendship, beach culture, and shared pints with locals. Beach Ball Brewing opened for business on Robert’s 50th birthday, August 23, 2024, as a welcoming taproom focused on community gatherings, creative small-batch brewing, and laid-back bay vibes. The rest of the story is still being written—one beer at a time.
